GB 118401-2010 "National Textile Products Basic Safety Technical Specifications"
The standard specifies the basic safety technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and implementation and supervision of textile products. Applicable to the consumption, decoration and household textile products produced and sold in China.
The main technical changes of this standard and GB 18401-2003 are as follows:
1. Add "home" to the scope, delete "use", and delete "except for the agreement between the supplier and the buyer";
2. The age of infants and young children is changed from 24 months to 36 months, and the height of infants and young children is changed from 80cm to 100cm;
3. Product classification is changed from A, B and C codenames to textual description. The pH value of class B is changed from 4.0~7.5 to 4.0~8.5;
4. "4-Aminoazobenzene" has been added to the list of decomposable aromatic amine dyes.

The basic safety technical requirements for textile products are classified into Class A, Class B and Class C according to the requirements of the indicators (see table below). Infant textile products should meet Class A requirements. Products that are in direct contact with the skin should meet at least Class B requirements; products that are not in direct contact with the skin should meet at least Class C requirements, and hanging decorative products such as curtains do not assess the color fastness to perspiration. Infant and children's textile products must be marked with the words “infant and child supplies†on the instructions for use.
