Speaking of resources, Sun Ruizhe said that the global market value of textile fibers is a conservative estimate of 1.5 trillion yuan, accounting for less than 50% of China's total. From the total amount of fiber resources, 70% of the fiber resources created in China come from the chemical fiber industry. The ups and downs of natural fiber prices such as cotton have made us realize that the development of the industry is looking for alternative products, and it is not necessary to seek breakthroughs through continuous technological innovation.

Judging from the ratio of R&D investment in science and technology to GDP, in the world today, the highest value is South Korea, which is close to 4%. Our country is about 1.76%. He stressed that the textile industry should obtain national support through its own efforts, increase investment in scientific research to promote its own development, and mobilize all forces to carry out scientific and technological innovation. Therefore, the annual academic conference will play its own platform function, promote the collection and exchange of cutting-edge scientific and technological information, call for social funds, corporate funds to invest in industry technology research and development, and mobilize the academic forces of the entire industry to attract scientific and technological input.
