inspiration and fabrics for the laureles top + dress>
Hello again!
I previously shared the Laureles Top + Dress with you. Today, I'm excited to dive deeper into fabric choices and styling ideas for this versatile pattern.

These images may not directly resemble the Laureles design, but I adore the fabrics they’ve chosen. Soft cottons and linens are perfect for this minimalist style. Cropping your Laureles to mimic these looks would be an effortless way to update your wardrobe.

The monochrome outfits in these photos are stunning. Consider pairing your Laureles with our Lisboa Walking Shorts or Montauk Trousers for a sleek, coordinated ensemble.

If you're leaning toward the View B dress, there are countless ways to customize it. Adding a tiered layer to the bottom could add a playful touch.

As I mentioned earlier, the Laureles pattern works beautifully with a variety of fabrics. For the top, lightweight wovens like cotton, linen, chambray, or even eyelet lace will shine. The dress benefits from fabrics with a bit of drape—rayon, silk noil, or linen are excellent picks. I used a black seersucker for View A, which, while not the most drapey, still looked great. For View B, the silk noil added texture and color vibrancy, with a luxurious sheen and beautiful drape.

In the meantime, grab your copy of the Laureles pattern in either paper or digital format. And remember, one of my favorite parts of creating patterns is seeing what you make with them! Tagging us in your projects with #lieslandco and #laurelestopdress makes my day—there's nothing better than watching how you make these designs uniquely your own.
